Coaching Staff
Ian Brown M.Sc., FISTC, BSCTA
Ian started out in sport as a middle distance track athlete and has nearly 25 years coaching experience. He also holds qualifications in Sport Science and physiology. He took over the position in 2003 after leaving Camden Swiss Cottage S. C. and brings a wealth of experience to the squad. He has coached athletes to National Level. His motto is "Technique, technique, technique".
Bram Montgomery M.A. (Harvard), ASCA L1, CSCA L1
Bram is a Canadian and represented his country in backstroke. After moving to the U.S. he worked with top flight American swim clubs in Boston, before joining us in Spring 2005. He is a fully qualified L1 coach and brings an extra dimension to the coaching team. Bram works with our top squad.
Will Rowley B.Sc., AusL1
Will is an ex-National Australian Swim Team member and as a world class freestyle swimmer trained with the likes of Ian Thorpe, Grant Hackett, Kieron Perkins and Susie O'Neill. He is a full-time swimming teacher/coach who is also involved with many local schools learn to swim programmes. He is a great motivator and a role model and works with our Junior Squad.
Lianne Murphy A.S.A. L1
Lianne has been with the Club for many years and was herself a National UK Synchro swimmer. She is mother to Jamie (ex-National swimmer) and Ricky who is one of our top young freestyle/butterfly swimmers. She plays a vital link role when swimmers move up from teaching or join the club in providing all the ground rules of stroke, start and turns, technique to the young developing competitive swimmers.
