CKSC holds on in Division 1
of Junior Speedo League

In 2007 CKSC competed in Division One of the Junior Speedo League for the very first time and are delighted to have survived in 12th place meaning we stay up in this division for the forthcoming season.
Two other clubs promoted with us were relegated back down to Division 2.
What did it for us was a fantastic opening gala which got us seeded and therefore eligible for bonus points.
There were some very good performances from newcomers to the team including Mary Beckwith, Heather Parayre, Phillipa Marks, Seb Mattey and Adam Versteegh.
I would like to give my personal thanks to all the swimmers taking part and especially those who dug deep and swam-up.
The League is held at pretty unsociable hours on a Saturday evening in often far away venues. So many thanks to the supporters and helpers who helped with the team -- especially Lianne Murphy, Louis Rudasingwa, Slava Gnevko, Brinsley Nicholson & Chris Marks.
