A strong entry at Middlesex
Autumn Development Meet
Posted: January 2008
This year at Southbury Road we had a very strong entry at the Championships with some outstanding performances.
The results have been fully documented elsewhere but the top performances do deserve a mention.
In the 9 year age category young Charlotte Hogarth and Dania Gnevko took the gala by storm!
Charlotte swam 7 races coming away with 3 golds, a silver and a bronze. Dania swam in 5 events and won a gold, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes.
These efforts place both swimmers in the TOP 3 ranked swimmers in Middlesex. This was a great achievement for both performers in their first season of full competition.
Louis A’Brassard also came away with a gold and silver in the 200m and 50m backstroke respectively. Keep it up!
In the older age groups Caterina Buizza came of age with some stunning new PB’s and was rewarded with a deserved BRONZE in the 200m Freestyle in a very tough age group, in a time of 2:47.71.
I think there’s much more to come from this young lady.
Andik Jashanica had an impressive swim in the 100m Fly in a time of 1:18.63 and was duly awarded the silver medal for his efforts.
Craig Hill also set some very useful new PB’s and got his just reward with 2 bronzes in the 100m free and 100m breaststroke.
A total of 23 medals were secured by the team – Congratulations to all!
