Barnet 200's Meet

This was the first non league major meet of the season and gave swimmers a chance of gaining good qualifying times for the Counties.
Despite many swimmers not turning out we had some great swims and some good first time efforts.
Hana Batto (just turned 9) and Will A’Brassard were undaunted by the big occasion. Hana achieved a time of 4:18.67 in the 200m Breaststroke and 3:48.60 in the 200 Free. Will came a great 4th in the 200 Back (3:54.33).
Laura Marks had a great gala gaining two 4th places in the 200m Breaststroke (4:02.42) and 200m Back (3:30.72).
The stars of the show were Emma Cain and Charlotte Hogarth. Poor Charlotte had a very dubious DQ for an alleged 1 handed touch in the 200m breaststroke but bounced back with a BRONZE on the 200m Back in 3:08.31 and then took GOLD in the 200m Free in a season’s best of 2:45.15.
Emma only knew one colour and that was GOLD. She swam a magnificent 200m Breaststroke in 3:49.74 and then wrapped it up with 3:02.13 in the 200m Free.
