Development Squad - Level 2
Normally swimmers are promoted from the Advanced (Group 4) Teaching Class or may be newcomers to the club from other teaching schools.
Members must have attained a minimum of ASA Level 8 skill development.

Entry Criteria
Swimmers must:
- be capable of swimming 100 metres Backstroke, Breaststroke and Frontcrawl
- be capable of performing a forward somersault in the water
- be capable of performing a standing dive into deep water
Squad Profile
The first of the coaching scheme groups introducing stroke technique skills, watermanship exercises and basic training methods. Swimmers are expected to swim twice per week. There are four sessions per week available to members of this group. Swimmers will be taught competitive Backstroke, Breaststroke, Frontcrawl and Butterfly including the basics of competitive starts, turns and finishes. Swimmers will be prepared for internal Club Championships and development meets.
This group is equivalent to the LTAD model level known as FUNdamentals
