Although emphasis is still built around good stroke technique skills, watermanship exercises, the swimmers will regularly use complex training methods including anaerobic sets. Swimmers are expected to swim three times per week but advancement to the next level will be achieved by attending more sessions. There are six sessions per week available to members of this group. Swimmers will work upon improved co-ordination of all four competitive strokes and work on core strength endurance. There is an increase in the total volumes including medley work. The correct in the water starts and turns are mandatory at all training sessions. Introduction to pacing work is undertaken.
