Squad Profile
This is the first stage of more serious competitive involvement. Although emphasis is still built around good stroke technique skills, watermanship exercises, the swimmers are introduced to more complex training methods. Swimmers are expected to swim twice per week but advancement to the next level will be achieved by attending more sessions. There are five sessions per week available to members of this group. Swimmers will work upon improved co-ordination of all four competitive strokes and build aerobic endurance. There is an increase in the volume of medley work. The correct in the water starts and turns are expected to be attempted at all training sessions.
Swimmers will be expected to enter all internal Club Championships and minor external development meets. They will be prepared for qualification into County Development Meets.
